This reel is an amazing! I have the 20 series spooled up with 6 pound test mono, and it casts like a dream. The drag system is very good, which helps a TON with light line. Overall i would give this reel a 5/5.

Quality at an Affordable Price

The smooth action on this Quantum spinning reel meets all my expectations and the demands of hauling in lunker small mouth. It was a welcome upgrade to my other aging reel and worth the investment. There is nothing "cheap" about it. Straight out of the box the quality, weight, and feel were apparent. However, I would caution against purchasing the reel alone. If you look hard enough you can get the Antix combo rod and reel for roughly the same price as the individual unit. I didn't find them until it was too late and I ended up buying the rod at my local Gander Mt. I spent about $30 too much, but I'm still satisfied overall with my purchase.

The AN20 is a nice reel, for the price. It is real smooth, and I use it for finesse fishing and smaller lures(1/4oz. and under) with 8lb. P-Line. The drag is not the best I've seen, although I've only used the reel once so far and only landed 7 fish with it, so I may not have had it set properly. All in all, if your looking for a good reel for a good price, the Quantum Antix is a good bet.
