Fishermen's opinions about Penn Fathom Level Wind

Penn Fathom Level Wind

Excellent Levelwind Reel

The Fathom 25LW with its smaller frame has all of the power of the larger 30 models. Its more comfortable for my wife and daughters with smaller hands than the larger size models.
Fished in 100 - 130 depths in the Gulf of Mexico this season for red snapper, rigged with 65 lb braid and the 30 lb drag was great on 10 lb to 18 lb fish to get them up off of the bottom.

Have only used it for rock fish but it worked very well. Comfortable to reel up time and time again in 150-200 feet of water. Can't wait to use on bigger fish.
