Nice reel

I have 3 of these reels. A 4000, 8000, and a 10000. Im on a tight budget and wanted a good surf reel and wanted to stick with shimano because they're the best. These reels are smooth even though they only have 1 ball bearing. I've had waves splash on these reels and i just rinse them off with freshwater and they keep on running. No need to spend the money on a stradic or a sustain. The only thing negative i can say is that i wish these reels had at least 2 to 3 ball bearings and a rubber handle knob.
But for the money still very nice reels

Socorro 8000F - Great reel for big fish

Guys keep in mind this is a 4.9:1 ratio reel means one turn of the handle is 4 wraps of line.
So it is only useful for catching big fish do not buy this reel if you intend to catch fish which are small or med sized.
Also make sure that you have a big fishing pole to match with this reel.

good reels

Its great for the price. No play at all with the antireverse which is the first thing i look for. Salt beats this reel up. They never last long but for $70 its a good deal so have wd40 ready.
I would like a little more line capacity.
