Bail Trip Don''t Last

2013-01-24T10:03:59

I use this reel on all fishing trips with lures and cork type fishing. I like the reel but the bail trip after much use fails to close all the way --it will stay at half closed unless you spin the crank at fast pace to close it. I actually altered the trip mechanism inside the bail arm to fix this--something Daiwa should have done. The throw on the trip doesn't extend enough after some use causing this problem. A reel of the type should hardly have any problems with this mechanism.

Amazing reel

I was a little nervous when I bought this real but after using it all summer I can honestly say its the best real on the market.
I been using this real to catch pan fish when the tides come in off the pond I fish at. Once I get a hit this bad boy never fails. I never get a backlash or broken lines. Even when I hook into the monster 1 lb blue gill.
This real is a most own for any serious angular who loves to pan fish!
I can't wait to get out on the boat and try this little real fishing for perch. I'm fully confident this real could bring in 2 perch at a time on a perch rig!

I bought this little engine about 13 months ago. i can honestly say this is if not the best Daiwa i have ever owned it is tied with my Hypercertate.have reeled in bass over 5lbs with this little engine with power to spare. i have the 2508.
Buy one, you will not be disappointed, now if we could convince Daiwa to make a 3000 Steez, dynamic duo!

Daiwa top end reel. I love it. The idea of holding my rod and reel together, weighing less then 9 oz, and fishing on the water in the middle of nowhere, knowing that what ever size of fish I hook into, there will be more then enough drag power to slow 'em down, more then enough engine to bring 'em in,, and lets face it, more then enough " Steez" on the water. By far the best reel I have ever bought.
If you don't have one... you need one.

best ultralight spinning reel

Purchased this reel for ultralight trout fishing and am delighted. Have been fishing 45 years and always try new products and purchase a lot of high end tackle. This reel goes to the head of the class, super smooth drag and line pickup. I can't comment on the durability as I have only had the reel for six weeks.
Highly recommended, I know it's a lot of money but definitely worth every cent.
