Daiwa Tanacom Bull TB1000

A Very Good Deep Drop Reel

Deep water fishing is very demanding on fishing gear and poor selection choices quickly become evident 130 miles from shore. The Daiwa Tanacom Bull is simply awesome; its power and speed are amazing. The instruction manual should have been written in a more "step by step" style but a little practice during the 6-hour run to the fishing grounds solved that difficulty.
Thanks to Daiwa for another great product.

This is a Awesome reel for deepwater.
Everyone on the boat will be jealous. I know my buddies are. :)
It put's a big clunky Electra Mate to shame.
When it's time to pickup and move to a different spot, just set the rod in the rodholder and hit the lever. Go sit down and watch everyone else reel and wear their thumbs out guiding line onto their reels.
It will auto wind to a certain point and beep at you. The beeping will get faster and then the reel will stop. Move the lever to off and then advance it again. It will wind the rest of the way up without running the swivel into the rod tip eye. [2 to 3ft of line will still be out.
The instructions come on a CD. You will need to print them out and take it with you the 1st few times. There is a LOT of stuff packed in the electronics on this reel.
It has a knob on the left side of the reel to adjust for how much weight you have on the line.
This means you can throw it in freespool and just let the line down.
No Backlash.
