Awesome Fly Reel

I used my Trion Model 1990 in the Bahamas for bonefish this past week, and it performed flawlessly. It has done so on a fair number of Atlantic Salmon over the last few years as well.
Great smooth drag system...overall built like the proverbial tank.
I honetly consider the reel one of the best buys in the fly reel industry...I only wish it was available in black!

Would give five stars but don't like the bright finish. Pflueger should have went with a dark anodized finish.
Other than the finish it is a great reel for the price.

Awesome Fly Reel

Can't say enough about this real. I purchased this reel for a smallmouth trip on one of Missouri's Ozark streams. The reel not only looks great, but performs great for a great price. I honestly don't know of a better reel for the money. Everyone on the trip though I had to have spent over $200 for this reel. The drag system is flawless and very ergonomic. It handled well in rainy and dry conditions and I caught my best smallie on a fly to date measuring 18". Heading back down in a few weeks to try and top it.

Great reel, Great Preformance, Best Bang for the buck Also if u are in need of an extra spool for this reel the spool for the Harmony reel is the exact same product & is a perfect fit I believe it is made in the same factory as the trion only sold under the Harmony name.

Excellent Fly Reel

Very good fly reel, smooth, good drag system, workmanship, styling. Some flash that is backed up by good performance. Looking to buy another one for another rod.
Have used Pfluegers for 40 years and still using them.

Sweet reel!

I have the 1956 model (line up to 6). This reel has a very beautiful, durable finish. It is built to tight tolerances...try as I might, I can get very little free play between the frame and the spool. The drag is fully functional throughout it's range and has fully audible, positive clicks. The rosewood reel handle is a nice touch. It's a very light reel, not heavy as someone else mentioned. I have to agree with another reviewer, who mentioned this is the best price to be found anywhere. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is the design of the drag knob. It's small and smooth and requires use of fingertips to manipulate. I got used to it quickly, though, and now have no problems with it. I am kicking myself for not having a couple of these years ago.
I will get more for my other rods!
