I have owned 2 of these reels and could not be more pleased. When I first got out of spincast reels, this was my first. I was very pleased with the inexpensive price tag and the smooth operation. I have caught everything from bluegill to Musky on this reel. I am about to buy one for my brother as a birthday gift.

Great product for the money

I've used this reel for about 4 years now. I've never had any real problem outside of one minor thing. After 4 years, a groove is forming in the bail arm right next to where the line sits during the retrieve.
I suppose these things happen when fished practically every day for four years.
Other than that, it's a fantastic product.
I plan to purchase at least one more.
The wood handle is great and really comfortable.

Great reel at double the price

I've paid double plus for reels that aren't half this good. Got the 4740GX for river steelhead, and have since bought 2 more. Tossed my Shimanos in the trash. Nice feel, super strong, should see some real good life outta these. I've used lighter reels, but I can't tell any difference after 30 seconds

I picked up 2 of these for a Fl keys trip. Haven't used them yet but inspection reveals they are smooth, they come with an extra aluminum spool (of which neither is drilled on the skirt, a big plus for salt water) the drag seems pretty good. While they're not a shimano symetre they're pretty nice and way cheaper! I think they're a great value and only hope that down the road (yrs from now) I'll be able to get parts to keep them running.

I ordered this reel a few weeks ago for the purpose of using it for fishing stripers here in TN. I'm very pleased with it. It's smooth, yet has all the power I need for bigger fish. I highly recommend it.

Wow they practically give this product away!
Smooth drag. Very nice reel for the price they could charge more and it would still be a good buy.
I have put mine through a lot so far and it is holding up.

I bought the 30 that is rated for 4, 6 and 8 lb line for use on a light and medium light spinning rods. The reel is very smooth to use with a smooth line drag. It is easy to disassemble service and to assemble. Internal gears and components are metal.
This reel is one of the easiest reels to trip the bail on. If you begin to crank after a cast when the bail is up against the trip. It takes very little effort to trip the bail closed as you begin to crank. The bail does not seem at all weak with a very solid snap to it. As with any spinning reel that I have ever used. The anti-reverse feature can be turned off and on.
Otherwise this reel is as advertised. It is a good buy for the price. It is a good less expensive reel to start fishing with that is of a quality that will last a lifetime.
